We spent Tuesday and Wednesday with Jason's Uncle Don in Littleton, going to a Colorado Rockies game on Wednesday and visiting with Grandma Rose Wednesday night. On Thursday Don took us to see Red Rocks, a natural outdoor amphitheater, and have lunch in a small town just into the mountains. It was quite a sight!
On Thursday night we drove to Ft. Collins to stay with Jason's Uncle Jim and Aunt Becky. We had dinner with their entire family. It was so fun! On Friday I did some shopping at an outlet mall with Jason's cousin Allison while Jason and Aunt Becky went to see the new Batman movie. That night we had the rehearsal dinner for the wedding on Saturday. It was great to finally see Jason's dad's side. They all oohed and ahhed over Connor of course. Who wouldn't? Saturday was the wedding. Connor was fine until the bride walked down the aisle. After that... he had enough so we snuck out to have a feeding and made it back in time for the introduction of the couple. The reception was at the Hilton in Ft. Collins and we were staying there Saturday night, which was very nice. We were able to change in more comfortable clothes later in the night. He is a family pic before we did that.
Tonight was the annual TLF Night at the Ballpark so we headed to downtown Indy for the Indianapolis Indians game. Victory Field is so very nice! We had a fantastic time! The weather was perfect... not too hot and we were in the shade... and Connor was very well behaved. I could tell he was tired, but there was just so much going on around him, he couldn't possibly fall asleep. But once we got to the car, he was asleep before we left the parking garage. His first baseball game was a success. Next stop... Wrigley Field!
All eight of my cousins were there, my brother and sister-in-law, nieces, my mom and step-dad, my aunt, my uncle and his parents, and my grandma all made it. I love when all get together. We used to spend lots of time with my aunt, uncle, and cousins when I was little. But now that some of use are grown up we don't get to see them as much. Here is a picture of Jason with my cousin Caleb (number 6 of the 7 cousins) and my oldest niece Callie.
We came back to Lafayette in time to see the fireworks here. Connor did stay up in time to see them. Surprisingly, he wasn't startled by them. He did watch them, but then again, he also watched the headlights of the cars passing by on the nearby highway.
